Structures' Sweet Sixteen! Celebrating 16 Years in Custom Home Building

Not only are we celebrating the holidays with fun and cheer this month, but we are also excited about a very special anniversary!  This December marks 16 years of custom home building in the Lowcountry for our company!  Steve Kendrick began Structures in 1999 with a dream to give clients beautifully crafted, quality custom homes and to offer the best home building experience around.  Every member of our team has dedicated themselves to making this dream a reality, and we look back on these 16 year with much gratitude - not only to Steve for blazing the trail, but for simply being able to take part in the journey.  And we are also thankful for our incredible clients, trades, suppliers, and architects for making it all possible, too!  Here's to MANY more years ahead of building our clients' dream homes and building up our community here in Charleston!

Structures Takes Home Customer Service Award for 8th Time!

For the 8th time in PRISM Award history, Structures Building Company has won the coveted "Excellence in Customer Service Award."  The Charleston Home Builders Association PRISM Awards are an annual celebration of excellence in the home building industry and recognize companies and individuals who go above and beyond to build and remodel quality homes and provide exceptional customer service.  It is quite an honor to receive the Customer Service Award which is given to the company who has the highest ratings on GuildQuality (a third-party surveying company which receives feedback from each of our clients!) 

In addition to this, Structures also took home an award for an incredible DesignBuild project on the Wando River.  The beautiful Beau Clowney designed home won the PRISM award for Best Custom Home in its price range.  Each of our custom homes are a collaborative effort of everyone here at Structures, and we are grateful when the finished product receives this kind of recognition!  These awards are the result of the talent and hard work of our entire team!

New Neighbors on Daniel Island!

The Daniel Island Park neighborhood is growing and gaining some truly great neighbors!  We recently welcomed a wonderful couple to the Structures Family of homeowners and completed their custom DesignBuild project on Daniel Island.  The home is designed by Cobb Architects, has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms plus a FROG suite, boasts a beautiful golf course view and a fantastic pool and spa.  We simply love the finished product!  Take peek at a few of the great details in this home:

Charleston Home + Design: Building Blocks

If you picked up the Fall issue of Charleston Home + Design magazine, you may have seen a familiar face!  Structures Building Company and owner, Steve Kendrick, were in the spotlight in the magazine's Building Blocks feature.  In the article, Steve shares a bit about his career path in the construction business and what sets Structures apart from other custom home builders.  The feature also includes a few snapshots of a custom home we recently completed in Daniel Island Park and details how important building lasting client relationships is to our team.

6th Annual Charleston Mac Off - October 24

We'd like to take the opportunity to add one more must-do event to your Charleston culinary experience - a celebration of one of the South's finest (and most delicious) achievements:  Macaroni & Cheese!  The Mac Off is an annual event to give 25 local restaurants and caterers the chance to show off their skills and compete for mac & cheese fame.  Last year, the competition drew over 6,000 people to Patriot's Point in Mt. Pleasant to enjoy a variety of traditional and gourmet selections of the dish.

East Cooper Habitat for Humanity 25th Anniversary Event - This Friday!

We are excited to join East Cooper Habitat for Humanity this weekend as they celebrate 25 years of building affordable, safe housing in the Lowcountry!  The party will kick off on Friday 9/25 at 6:00 at Alhambra Hall in Mt. Pleasant with food from local vendors, live music from PlaneJane, and a silent auction with great items up for bid!  You'll have a chance to take home items such as tickets to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, vacation experiences around the world, restaurant gift cards, spa and salon packages, Lowcountry art, sweetgrass baskets, and much more! 

This will be a wonderful night of celebrating what this wonderful organization has done for our community.  We are honored to have worked along side ECHH over the years and can't wait to celebrate this huge milestone!

Structures Homeowners Share Their Experience Relocating to Daniel Island

ReStructure in Mt. Pleasant - Before & After!

We recently completed an extensive remodeling project for a wonderful family in the heart of Mt. Pleasant.  The already lovely home needed a little updating and some restructuring to make it more functional and a perfect fit for our client.  Our ReStructure team gave the kitchen a complete makeover with custom cabinetry, new appliances, and a dramatic tile wall.  They also took down walls to open up the living area, recreated their entertainment area and wet bar, and gave the powder room a new look.  Among other changes, this remodel gave this family a much better living space that suits their family!
